Madagascar : a great natural reserve
|
|
With 5.000 km of coasts, Madagascar offers two different faces, the
east coast being under the Indian ocean strong influence has a great
variety or weather while the west coast has much more peaceful weather
condition.
The island is spitted in two by a chain of mountain that starts north
and ends south. East of the mountains is the cliffs country with a
flourishing tropical rain forest almost everywhere. The west is made of
two sediment basins (Majunga and Morondava) with vast plateaus of
sandstone as Isalo or chalky as Bemaraha.
