From Antananarivo to Tulear via Manakara “Antsirabe and its lakes - the road of highlands – The little train of east coast - the pangalanes canal - the national parcs of Ranomafana and of Isalo - the Mozambique canal”

DAY 1 : ANTANANARIVO
Arrival at Tananarive. Welcoming and transfer to your city center hotel located in the most charming part of the town.
                                                     
DAY 2 : ANTANANARIVO
Visiting Tananarive and its neighborhood : very nice outlooks from the high city. Enjoy a walk in colorfull streets and discover the kraft markets, the Queen city palace and the summer palace at Ambohimanga, 15km from the capital city.
                          
DAY 3 : ANTANANARIVO- ANTSIRABE
Discover the high lands, its rice fields, the typical red laterite (suncooked clay) houses. At Antsirabe, visit of the city : precious stone markets, rickshaw ride.
                            
DAY 4 : ANTSIRABE- FIANARANTSOA
Going down on a lovely bush track, you will visit the Andraikiba and Tritiva lakes.  Then the road gets more hilly, through nice forests on the way down to Fianarantsoa.

DAY 5 : FIANARANTSOA - MANAKARA
Off for a fantastic train journey to Manakara, on the east coast, through cute villages in a magnificent natural scenery. You will have a unique opportunity to discover the legendary kindness of malagasy people.

DAY 6 : MANAKARA
Cruising day on the Pangalanes canal, just by the ocean, the boat will go from village to another. Picnic and bathing.
                           
DAY 7 : MANAKARA - RANOMAFANA
Ranomafana National parc offers several walks from 1hour to 4 hours : day and night visit of the reserve for seeing various lemur species. Bathing in the hot waters of the swimming pool of the ancient thermal baths.

DAY 8 : RANOMAFANA - Sahambavy
Stop at the Samhabavy village, 25 km ahead from Fianarantsoa for a nice walk in the tea plantation in the heart of the Betsileo country. Accommodation on the lake banks . 

DAY 9 : FIANARANTSOA – RANOHIRA
Stop at Ambalavao, heart of madagascar wineyards and of the famous Antemoro paper. Heading to the deep south on a majestic road bordered by rock cliffs, some of which being sacred.
